Went out this morning targeting Aspen, and pleased to find Ectoedemia argyropeza. Loads of them!
Very easy to spot at the moment.

Last nights trap contained 16 of 12. New for the year was a Satellite, also of interest a Common Quaker well outside its usual flight dates. #teammoth #suffolkmoths

Couple of potentially new mines today at Baggeridge. Ectoedemia quinquella on Oak, Darren Taylor had one last week, but no records showing for Staffs at moment. Think other on Crack Willow might be E.intimella. Again not common in Staffs. @vc28nature.bsky.social do these look ok before I irecord ? 👍

A Chocolate-tip in my work trap near Plymouth overnight was Devon's latest by over 2 months. 1 of 13 species at this trap. 18 species at home included a female Gem
