What an insane time to be alive. What a truly stupid culture we are.

Either his health issues broke something within him or removed whatever filter he had left to be his true self. Either way, I sincerely hope for our sake he takes the Sinema path and cashes in with his rightwing constituency. This is just bonkers stuff.

NEW: When Propecy Fails is one of the most famous social psychology books of all time, a look at a small group of UFO believers when the “spacemen” failed to land. I wrote about a new study from an independent researcher who says the book is not what it seems. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
It’s one of the most influential social psychology studies ever. Was it all a lie?
A classic book on UFO believers and their "cognitive dissonance" after aliens failed to land is called into question.

Abject stupidity. We know that the chaos, the suffering, has long been the point. Maybe at some point, one of these moves will actually make people push back.

Also, bonus points: "The jury — which feasted on sandwiches for lunch Thursday, according to a person familiar with jury lunches — deliberated the charges for several hours Wednesday and Thursday before delivering the verdict."

Look, the NYT has been as complicit as any media in bringing us to this point through capitulation. It can even be argued that by their very prominence, their apologism makes it far more responsible than most. But even I can acknowledge that this is worth reading.

Regression.
Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).

The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.
SCOOP: The Bureau of Land Management says the largest solar project in Nevada — the Esmeralda 7 mega-farm — has been canceled

The news was quietly dropped via a sudden website update with no public word from any of the companies involved or a statement from the agency
