🧵 A thread on why "We must fight the information war on Xitter" does not make any sense anymore.

In this thread I will lay out all the many reasons the battlefield is impossible to win. Not because of us, but because of how Xitter works now. How's its designed to fuck us all over.

The profits of the company that sells the chips to AI companies doesn’t mean there isn’t a bubble. It means the opposite, an overspending on this technology pushing their profits into the stratosphere.

What the f*ck is this all about? When will they do the same for physicians?
The Dept of Education's plan to downgrade the classification of nursing to "nonprofessional" is the latest step in this regime's attack on women. The move will impact student's ability to receive federal student loans, thus dissuading many from entering the field. Consequences will be widely felt.

You know when a government obstructs an auditor general and destroys evidence, you’re dealing with corruption. The #UCP has been the worst government #Alberta has ever had whether Kenney or Smith has led it. Smith is worse though.

The Ontario Conservative government is also great at wasting taxpayer money for little to no value. Such as the “AI-driven” counselling service with no research to back it up. Bet the serial entrepreneur got a pay raise.

Bill 9 is a trans rights issue.

Don't be fooled, because it's also a parental rights and bodily autonomy issue.

The UCP has no place in the living rooms and physicians offices of this province.

During the same week that the UCP is expanding privatization, the auditor general finds that government interference cost taxpayers over $100 million.

How can anyone deny it’s the government that’s the problem?

When I finally got to NYC for the first time, I was 20 years old. I'd wanted to go since I was nine, and had worn out our Home Encyclopedia's pic of the Empire State Building from going over it with a magnifying glass.

The #UCP government interfered in procurement processes meant to protect Albertans and #Albertans suffered. Adriana LaGrange should resign. Government accountability needs to matter. Instead, here she is still in charge of healthcare and it’s being decimated.

This report from the auditor general is the sort of thing that should make Adriana LaGrange resign, but we know politicians have no moral or ethical qualms anymore so she’ll continue in the #UCP cabinet.

Of course the only reason the #UCP backed out of this ridiculous privatization was because the company they gave the contract to feared bankruptcy. Not because of the complete chaos. Think about that.

Only the #UCP government can waste over $100 million on a failed and dangerous healthcare privatization scheme and the right-wing media doesn’t freak out for months on end. #abpoli
November 19, 2025 at 11:12 PM
You know, things like blood tests actually matter. For example, they help determine if people in chemo should get their next dose or not. In Alberta the UCP government screwed all that up. Wrong results, long delays, etc. Why do Albertans shrug? #abpoli
November 19, 2025 at 11:10 PM
This was ridiculous. The #UCP had to reverse the whole thing after causing a great deal of harm yo Albertans, both medically and financially. Still Albertans like this government. It’s ridiculous and where populism leads you. #abpoli
“Wylie’s investigation found breakdowns in due diligence, risk assessment, and financial analysis. It also cites the involvement of then-health minister Adriana LaGrange and department staff in what should have been AHS matters.”
