It's going to be hot soon. But Houston is still pleasant. Figured I'd walk. Went due west, thought I'd walk until I got tired, and then take the bus home. Found a Mexican restaurant with a happy hour. Couple of stiff Margaritas and some ceviche. Bus was running late, so I started walking east.

I knew a biologist--still do technically, she's not dead--who went on a field expedition and came home with a NASTY code. No symptoms but absolutely DEVASTATING congestion. She was talking like a plugged-up cartoon character for months. Nothing helped.
