I was never "into them" as I was a Zeppelin /Sabbath / Purple / Fairport boy in the 70s. But I also didn't hate them. They were just there making what everyone recognised was good pop music.
Can we quit with the revisionist jive about Abba in the '70s? They were routinely hated and laughed at by the music press. They were not considered "proper" music, a.k.a. music mainly loved by women and girls. Stop pretending you were into them fifty years ago because I was there and you weren't.

I know it's still November, and I rarely drag the C-word out until at least mid-December, but the choir I'm in is doing a concert in early Dec, featuring winter themed songs (including Immigrant Song! I know!!)
