We’ve privatized youth sports so everyone thinks it’s a special interest when it’s actually public interest. Private equity is not the answer. It will eat its own tail… cities are undervaluing youth sports.

This could be the biggest statement worldwide to date. if there were empty stadiums nationwide in America because Trump is the Antichrist & everyone believes it. Would he discount tickets with a going out of business "blowout" sale.

So when do we get to read another Atlantic Magazine article, written by Beltway-based immigration reform thought leaders, that denounces “the groups” and activists in Minnesota for having misapprehended political space, gone too far, etc?

I agree with Chris. Sen. Klobuchar is wrong on this.
Good lord, no.
This is NOT the take.

By refusing to coordinate with local law enforcement, ICE is not making our community safe. It is making it less safe.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

What we know for sure to be true from Trump's first term and again now:

- His campaign *promises* related to immigration are popular with some independents; and

- His immigration *policies* are unpopular w/ independents, and eventually they will become unpopular w/ his Republican base too...
Really remarkable number in here: 62% of independents favor path to legalization over deportations. Trump and Stephen Miller are actively, relentlessly pushing the country in a pro-immigrant direction.

Maybe those who argued against attacking Trump on this due to "salience" fears got this wrong?
New Quinnipiac poll:

57% favor path to legalization for undocs vs 35% who back deporting them

Trump underwater on immigration (44-54) and on deportations (42-55)

Meanwhile DHS's Twitter feed is a white nationalist sewer pit and Gregory Bovino is swaggering around like an occupying general

American hegemony on the European continent benefitted the USA.
It was never an act of altruism. It was very clear what would happen if the Americans pulled back.
lol yes when you tell Europe to rearm, this is what happens, you absolute muppets

Can’t wait for the hand wringing that happens when they rediscover stupid nationalistic tendencies and get another arms race going followed by a fucking massive war

Which was all preventable
US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau today slammed European NATO allies for prioritizing their own defense industry over American arms suppliers, according to three NATO diplomats.
