mental breakdown is over (i think), and although I realized that I kinda hate having social media, not being able to see current world events is pretty spooky, so here I am ig. Not gonna be posting on here any more than this one though

“If your tactics disrupt the order of things under capitalism, you may well be accused of violence, because ‘violence’ is an elastic term often deployed to vilify people who threaten the status quo. Conditions that the state characterizes as ‘peaceful’ are, in reality, quite violent.”

@prisonculture.bsky.social and I have been encouraging people to read chapter six of our book, Let This Radicalize You, which deals with the question of "violence" in social movements. We have decided to share the chapter publicly, to offer some context and grounding for the current conversation.
Protest, Power, and the Violence Debate
"We are told we are experiencing peace, so long as everyone is cooperating."

Another video of Senator Padilla’s violent arrest at DHS Sec Noem’s press conference in LA. You can see him thrown to the ground by FBI agents and handcuffed.

(video shared by Padilla’s staff with Elex Michaelson of Fox LA and posted on X)

I’m quoted in this article re: “violence” & “peace” related to the Los Angeles protests.

This is LA! Politicians don’t dictate how people are going to act. 1965 Watts Rebellion. 92 riots. 2020 uprisings. The student intifada. This is LA! Either support or sit back & stfu.

Just a reminder, it's only peaceful for as long as the police allow it to be. It is always the police who decide if a protest is going to be violent.
HAPPENING NOW: Aerial coverage of protesters marching peacefully in LA to protest ongoing ICE raid operations and Trump’s federalization of the National Guard

Reporter: “What we’re looking at right now is a quiet, organized group and demonstrators marching peacefully to their destination.”

At the ICE raid and subsequent community resistance in Paramount, California this morning, this skater kid ate dozens of munitions from Border Patrol agents, walked away slowly and flipped them off.

"Some have even suggested that the fascist government is trying to get a reaction out of us so that it can declare martial law. The absurdity of such a position lies in the fact that an authoritarian regime doesn’t need the law, an excuse, or provocation to do what it wants to."
I wrote about the confusion created by disgruntled voters who believe that voting is enough, and the trouble many have visualizing an alternative. Fear, frustration, and the work of those who came before us are not an excuse to promote inaction or resignation. prismreports.org/2025/06/03/i...

Hey gang, been trying to have more empathy for myself, and I realized that I don't really think that exiling myself from social media is a great way to do it. The past year has been a heck of a lot, and I don't think that I've been particularly "stable" through it. 1/2

Hey gamers, unblocked bluesky for a moment bc I should probably say, I assume it hasn't really come across super well in text form, but I truly have been happier than ever lately. Been able to learn about myself and be excited and hopeful and passionate for maybe the first time in my life

It's become more and more clear to me that I am abusive. I don't want to be, but I think my intent only matters so much at the end of the day. I don't want to hurt people and I've broken so many promises and boundaries already. I am truly sorry for all I've been. 1/2
