ICE targeted and detained a San Diego activist on Christmas Eve after he filmed their activity. He was not charged, there’s no indication he’s undocumented, but his car was impounded anyway. Filming law enforcement is legal, retaliation for it isn't.

Donald Trump has instructed the entire FBI to prioritize finding ways to bring charges against anti-fascists and other activists. Any FBI agent who wants to advance his career now has an incentive to set up naïve kids for an entrapment case.

A lot of folks are going to be surprised by how much of Project 2025 the Democrats will keep if they are able to regain power.
Expect the Democrats to delve deeper into their open collaboration with the GOP and ultimately abandon symbolic opposition to announce more mergers. Eventually, they won't have to pretend anymore because they've successfully shifted their base further into far-right politics.
