Flat Earthers Global has offered its research services.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will direct federal health agencies to explore potential new treatments for measles as the U.S. faces its largest outbreak in 25 years. Experts fear the decision could have grave consequences, as studies show the existing vaccine is 97% effective in preventing infection.

Fact: The Cowboys are the only NFC team failing to appear in the NFC Championship game in the first quarter of this century. Fact: Jerry Jones remains the only owner acting as his General Manager in all of the NFL. Correlation? Causation? You decide.

It was #neverJerry. And it never will be. He literally just hired the only guy to call him back. And that was probably a butt-dial.

Because NFL owners (aka the league) have more in common with Musk than Mahomes.
This is interesting — NFL teams WANT TO use Bluesky, but aren’t allowed to! The NFL, which has deals with X and Meta, told the New England Patriots to shut down their Bluesky account.

Not okay, NFL.
NFL teams can’t use Bluesky
Bluesky isn’t ready for game day yet.

1. Glad to know there are people who enjoy journal clubbing
2. Encouraged to see them appear here instead of xitter.
Hey bluesky! My lab has decided that for this year's journal club we want to read "classic" papers in the sphere of "human evolutionary genetics but also gene regulation" - if anyone has suggestions or lists we can look at and crib from, please share them! 🧬🖥️🧪

I will now be using "Xitter" in polite conversation, provided we agree on pronunciation. In this case, I believe the hard "ch" sound normally afforded the "X" in these circumstances should be replaced with the softer, more appropriate, "sh" sound.
I started to do the same when I ditched Xitter and decided to focus on Bluesky almost a year ago

I had to unlearn quite a few unpleasant habits Twitter ingrained in me

At the end, it did wonders for my enjoyment of social media

I couldn’t recommend enough!
Ok, I am done foraging on twitter.

I will try to post a bit more positive, beautiful or informative content on this platform now.

Seriously considering flushing all of my server logs into duckdb and ditching the ascii flat file analysis I do now. Oh the re-write…
Fun fact: DuckDB is faster at counting the lines of a CSV file than the UNIX word count command – and it also parses the file to identify its dialect (separator, quote character, etc.).

Here are the timings for a 3 GB CSV file: 2.966 seconds for `wc -l` and 1.261 seconds for DuckDB.
