I had this thought too, but it was indeed darker than it should've been, and then I learned it was because a dangerous thunderstorm was passing over. Now it's regular-level dark, which is less dark than that was.

I did it! And then I sliced up the cake and wrapped it in pairs of slices for the freezer, because I know me and I'm trying to make better choices than consume a Bundt cake in a few days.

this company from Bend makes all kinds of infused simple syrups, which you COULD use for cocktails (recipes on the site) but also for mocktails, coffee beverages and baking. some of the coziest-sounding include Woodfired Apple, Pumpkin Spice, and Salted Honey Cardamom

this company from Bend makes all kinds of infused simple syrups, which you COULD use for cocktails (recipes on the site) but also for mocktails, coffee beverages and baking. some of the coziest-sounding include Woodfired Apple, Pumpkin Spice, and Salted Honey Cardamom

Luckily, I keep a running document for each year that i put my major accomplishments in when I finish them and just cut and paste that sucker in at review time.
If you're not doing this already, I HIGHLY recommend it. Makes it so much easier.

I insisted on telling the guy who mows that I didn't want the leaves mulched and bagged. Then I raked them into the garden, around trees, etc. so he wouldn't use the gas blower. Bill asked why and I sent him 3 articles from various nature mags. Now he's on board. 🐛

Not to get too philosophical about "Jackass," but I think it's good to understand that having a sense of humor, ribbing, etc., is not a character flaw. The worst people in our society don't tolerate jokes or pranks. A joyless, soul-crushing existence serves no one but people that want to crush us.
