New rules on access to single-sex spaces could pose a significant risk to the mental health of trans and non-binary people, according to 15 of the UK’s most respected mental charities.

Our ruling class rejects any approach that would make things even slightly better and so every PM can only oversee things getting worse, which leads to people getting angrier.
The fact that every single PM this century has been more unpopular than the previous one shows that the electorate is impossible to please. We are simply predisposed to automatically hate every government no matter what. I don't know how that's sustainable long-term.

There used to be huge scandals about D&D, heavy metal albums, cartoons, etc doing that and it was a load of rubbish. This shit is actually happening and our institutions are just cool with it.
Can you imagine if someone released a computer game, or a musical album, or *whatever*, that was designed to sexual groom children, or encourage them to commit suicide or any of the things LLMs are doing on a daily basis, how quick the media and political condemnation would be?
