This is likely going to get me yelled at or at least grumbled about again but lots of young people were not told the truth about PhD programs over the past 2 decades. There wasn't an honest accounting that most of them were not going to get tenure track jobs even if they really wanted them.

So I’m hearing that the US Coast Guard has now downgraded swastika’s and Nooses from Symbols of Hate to possibly divisive.

This is the era of history now entering. I need people to pay attention to what’s happening.

I've argued against a 25-year extension of all the (already) 20+year-old tax increment financing districts (TADs) in Atlanta. Someone sent me an email from "Atlantans for Safety" arguing against my explanation for why extending the TADs is a bad idea. Their email & my responses are (next)...

Why do I love @neonflag.bsky.social reporting?

Because this! No one speaks truth like Chidi! Keep fucking going!
Everyone has been asking for a plan of resistance. The Democratic Party hasn't really offered people a guide that preserves democracy and effectively fights autocracy.

So I wrote one.

Like much today, it's a work in progress.

Do you want to screen Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile in your town or city, unlike a cowardly major movie chain?

Email us at jeffreyepstein@theonion.com.

We'll allow you to screen it for free.

Yes, again, this is real.
A very big Onion announcement:

The Onion has spent the last two months working on a masterpiece.

It's a documentary titled Jeffrey Epstein: Bad Pedophile.

It's so good, in fact, we were set to release it in theatres nationwide on October 2nd.

Then two weeks ago, Charlie Kirk was shot.

I've been building my language on what I wish to see more of in my life. Rather, in society overall.

I’m starting to find it in the #degrowth movement. A call to slow down, build intentionality, and focus on social well-being.

I'm excited to pick up a book, ruminate, and philosophize on degrowth

I have no idea what white people are talking about right now. The warnings that the fascists will "use this" to do more violence. WHAT WON'T THEY USE? You've watched them deploy the US military on US soil using bullshit pretexts. What even are you talking about?
