From using StoryGraph the past few years I know I tend to read a lot in January. This year’s no different. I finished 15 books. Two were short stories, most were YA or MG. I wanted to explore some magic school adjacent stories that did not center white people. (1/3)

Watched Lake Placid for the first time. It’s absolutely ridiculous and I enjoyed the hell out of it. Betty White is the highlight of the film, especially that closing scene, with Oliver Platt the runner up.
