I actually don’t think the Dem spin on who did the shutdown is necessary because it is probably a good idea to try to limit government functions if you think the ruling party is doing accelerated fascism

Speak up for your neighbors. We need to let the world know that this is happening and that we won't stand for it."

Trump just ordered the military into Portland, and he’s giving them the green light to use lethal force on American citizens.

Authoritarianism is an abstract concept but Trump is making its impacts real and tangible. Let’s be real about it: This is the beginning of dictatorship in America.

Republican chuds who have spent years calling every school shooting a “false flag psyop” are now swallowing every word the FBI says about political violence.

in the US conservative mindset cishet conservative white men are top of the hierarchy and thus it is bad to shoot them, but also they are allowed to shoot people, so if one kills another it's just a wash. cancels out. thoughts and prayers, nothing to see here

“Centrists”: We support enriching the police state because it’s necessary to suppress the left.

Nazis: We’re grabbing that police state and ramping it up 4000% with a lawless paramilitary coup, concentration camps, and an apocalyptic bloodbath.

“Centrists”: Oh. Well see that’s the leftists’ fault.

As Texas congressional districts go, the 21st is pretty easy to parse. The outline of it, which dips into Austin and enfolds a vast swath of the San Antonio suburbs, looks like a lumpier than average ...

pointless to say this but the democrat leaders should be out there banging the drum that they're going to tear these agencies apart & prosecute every single masked fash who ever did some shit while refusing to identify themselves
Masked men jumped a San Bernardino family in unmarked cars, opened fire, and shattered their truck windows—all while the family was just coming home from work.

The feds later admitted it was CBP, but the family says the agents never showed warrants or IDs.

There’s a reason why progressives pushed for:

- campaign finance reform
- expanding the Supreme Court
- voter protection laws
- DC statehood

…because we knew moments like these were inevitable.

…and we were told these democracy protections were “too radical.”
