I wrote about how the Everglades experiment fits into the history of concentration camps in the US and abroad, and how it will connect a domestic network of camps to an international one. We’re watching the imposition of a global concentration camp network.
Opinion | Don’t call it ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’ Call it a concentration camp.
This facility’s purpose fits the classic model, and its existence points to serious dangers ahead for the country.

Amazing gentleman looking for permanent lodgings in Baltimore!
Ok, Baltimore, time to find an indoor home for Mr. Rogers!

He's been living in our guest room and wandering around the house for two weeks now, and he's had all his shots and has been treated for parasites. He has immaculate manners, no spraying, and just wants lots of scritches and playtime.

🧪⚒️ A M5.1 earthquake rattled southern Mongolia yesterday.

While this event was pretty nondescript, it's a good excuse to examine the seismic history of Mongolia - which, despite its slow deformation rates, produced three M8+ earthquakes from 1903 to 1957. Why?

I wish my brain would consult me before deleting files.

The difference between stalagmites and stalactites? Fine. How to use a Punnett square? If you must. But NOT my current hotel room number, brain.

🪶 time for a bird of the day

Here is a rare one for you today. A pine warbler, we see them on the suet of occasion, but they generally don't go after the seed, however I bet they like the fancy mixed nuts that are in there right now.
