Friends- We hope these dark days are nevertheless treating you well, and that you have at least a bit of rest in store before the joys and horrors of 2026 lurch into gear. (As for us, we're about to master a new album, and hope/expect that later next year we'll finally return to live performing).

Yeah, it’s only gotten tougher and tougher to tour (financially, politically, health-wise), and especially to put on a big show which is what we’d like to do to play the songs as intended.
It is ridiculous how much the world has shifted since JPOB - from a UK point of view you’ve got Brexit, and then covid lamped *everywhere*, alongside all the cost of living hits, and it’s SO well-documented that touring isn’t viable for almost every band. I don’t know how this can be unnoticed.

We're depending on some things working out that are not entirely up to us...but, we're doing the best we can to make this happen in the next year.
I’ve never seen Shearwater live and I’m pretty sure I’ll move heaven and earth to get to a show if they tour for their new album. @shearwaterband.bsky.social
