look sometimes humans need specific tools for specific tasks

this applies to using wheelchairs for longer distances, instead of walking

just like how you might take a plane to travel a long distance, instead of driving

Oh, it's just incredible and effortless how Kristen Stewart dismantles and diagnoses the pathology and ego of Brando (and... well, all the dudes in Hollywood) here. www.youtube.com/shorts/_h-iK... There's just so many parallels to tech in this. And I'm so glad she's solid in herself to just SAY it.

3. Rather than directly banning Medicaid reimbursement for transgender care, the rule would bar any hospital that accepts Medicaid funding from providing gender-affirming care for trans youth at all, regardless of whether that care is paid for by Medicaid.

2. On Thursday, the Trump administration’s HHS, under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., released a new rule that uses Medicaid "conditions of participation" to strip funding from hospitals that treat trans youth—the most aggressive attack on trans healthcare in U.S. history.

The rule is seen here:

1. The federal government has just attempted to enact a national trans youth care ban.

A new HHS rule would shutter most gender-affirming care for trans youth nationwide.

It violates multiple laws and the constitution, and will likely go into effect in a few months.

Our latest story here:
Nationwide Trans Youth Care Ban Imminent As Trump Admin Announces "Nuclear Option" Federal Rule
The new federal rule formalizes previous threats to hospitals to pull Medicaid funding, and represents a significant legal stretch by this administration.

Parents who refuse to listen to autistic people are like the American tourists who don’t bother to learn words in local languages, but think they can be better understood if they just talk louder—and then get upset when the situation doesn’t improve.

Trans healthcare IS lifesaving care, particularly for minors. Banning it WILL lead to misery and higher suicide rates. This is sheer ugly bigotry with ZERO basis in science or medicine. CALL YOUR REPS.
The House is expected to vote this week on Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's bill to make providing trans youth with gender-affirming care punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Life-saving health care is on the line. Tell your members of Congress to reject this bill NOW.
Protect Trans Care Now
As wave after wave of extreme measures to criminalize and strip trans people of rights and safety continue, tell Congress to act.

Journalist Brian Deer "found that not one of the 12 cases reported in the 1998 Lancet paper was free of misrepresentation or undisclosed alteration, and that in no single case could the medical records be fully reconciled with the descriptions, diagnoses, or histories published in the journal."

So basically if my kid was younger, they'd be f***'d, because we relied on Sutter.

My trans kid was so miserable before they got the care they needed. They are living such a fulfilled life now.

These cruel, bigoted ghouls are cutting off literal lifelines for younger trans kids. I am disgusted.
I've reported on trans legislation and anti-trans actions in states across the United States for five years, including in blue states.

I distinctly remember some people getting upset at me for reporting blue-state anti-trans actions, saying that it could never happen there.

Sadly, it can.

A reminder that "too much information coming in too fast for an autistic brain to process can lead to meltdowns" applies to autistic people whether they can speak or not, whether they have ID or not. Explaining away this imposed distress as "autistic behavior" is both unkind, and unhelpful. #autism
“My brain takes in so much more information than the person next to me. So, I need time to process that information, & if I don't process it and more is coming in, then I could shut down & implode or just have massive meltdowns.” Chloé Zhao on her neurodivergence:
