Greenland is not a failing business ripe to be scooped up by any vulture capitalists who happen by. It doesn't have a price tag; it's not a revenue-generation machine. Out of all the awfulness of the past two months, seeing framings like this from other journalists is among the most heartbreaking.

I was in a Hyundai auto dealership today. I eavesdropped on some fellow shoppers. Few seemed even slightly aware of what President Trump intends to do to the auto market on April 2. I wonder if any of us have adequately reckoned with the political shock to follow.

I have just asked the Governor General to dissolve Parliament and call a federal election on April 28.
