The graph below shows the violent crime rate in the US.

Democrats should not say that crime is not a problem. That statement does not resonate with voters.

But...

For an authoritarian regime to use crime as an excuse to deploy American troops against American people is obscene

This is, in fact, the problem.
The “problem” with vaccines? They so effective at preventing deaths that they create generations of people that question whether disease was a problem in the first place because they have never experienced the horrors of a world without vaccines.

Sen. Warren Daniel (R–NC, District 46) was caught trading stocks right on the Senate floor.

Didn’t even wait for a break. Playing the market on the taxpayers’ time…pure abuse of power.

On one hand, it’s really good to be someone who does their best work under extreme pressure and exhaustion, but on the other hand, it also kind of sucks.

So it goes.

Why is it acceptable for the president to use taxpayer money to fly overseas and cut a ribbon at his own golf course?

Don’t normalize this abuse of office. It’s blatant corruption.

It's become clear that this administration is just a protracted war on anybody who's read a book without pictures in it. It's a miracle we're all still getting up and going to work every morning. The psychological drain is the point, and I'm increasingly grateful to the people who are still decent.

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.

People in wheelchairs are getting arrested right now in the Russell Senate Office Building in DC. They showed up to tell Congress not to cut their Medicaid, because they cant afford health care without it. If you look closely you can see the zip ties on their hands. #WeWontGetOverLosingMedicaid

Wow so you’re telling me everyone who cheered on the Iraq war is on board with this now too? And so are the people who opposed the Iran nuclear deal and killed it?

You’re kidding.

The United States should not wage war against Iran.

Donald Trump’s bombing of Iran is unconstitutional. Only Congress can declare war — and the Senate must vote immediately to prevent an another endless war.

This is a horrific war of choice.

Knowing how the drumbeat of war spreads rhythms of jingoism and fear, now seems like a good time to slow down and engage with the long rich heritage of Persian poetry.

Ever since "Window Horses" filmmaker Ann Marie Fleming told me "people are not their wars" I have carried those words with me.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds.

He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings.

He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights.

This is political intimidation.
Whoa! NYC mayoral candidate and current city Comptroller Brad Lander seemingly arrested at the NYC immigration court while attending to escort someone attending their hearing.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

I'm an Army veteran too.

The Army isn't weak. In fact, they are so badass they showed the Commander in Chief they won't play the part in his dictator show.

The optics of a grand military show in front of this wanna-be Kim Jong Un would have been too much for the American public to bear.

I'm proud
