Found the headstone of Major Otho Ernest Michaelis today, apparently the “Father of Modern Army Ordnance”
It makes me think, I should put something outlandish on my tombstone that in 150 years
folks will just accept when they see it. Like “Yeah, he was the first man to import Cavies to America!”

Things have been so busy lately, I just haven’t been able to keep up, but one step at a time I just keep moving forward as best as I can. On the bright side, my family is healthy and the animals are doing well. That counts for a lot.

You know, a lot of things are hard and terrible right now, but here’s a picture of Daisy with her two little newborns. She’s a good #cavy momma. I love our cavies, sometimes they are just so genuinely sweet that it brings happy tears to my eyes, given how dark and difficult the world can be.

I lucked out and got a 2021 Corolla Hybrid, and it’s very possibly the best purchase I ever made. Just hit 200k this week and I just did my first non-routine maintenance item. In a decade or two when your 2023 wears out, definitely aim for the hybrid 🥰
