Truly love that small town life means I can go on a run to the library to turn in my students’ library card applications so they will get cards on our field trip next week 📚 ❤️

good morning charlottesville!! what a lovely day to not vote for a school board candidate who promised to keep police out of schools and then voted in favor of it anyway, without robust data or engagement with the public!!

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.
The people who need help are not the problem.
It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

My school went into lockdown at the end of the day. For almost 10 minutes, I stood against a wall with tears streaming down my face, holding the hand of our custodian, hoping my sister down the hall knows the lockdown protocol, and waiting for an all clear.
Why the fuck do we have to live this way?

Union work is hard and frustrating a lot of days, but we had two big wins today including the reduction of police officers from 4 to 2 and the reversal of a classist work day policy. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
