It’s easier starting small when you’re faced with the sheer scale of freedom. See what sits right with you and go from there!

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared…

On this 1st anniversary of my mom’s death, my dad and I visited a few of her favourite places, shared good memories, and recited the passage she had chosen as part of her memorial service.

Rest in peace mom….

If you didn’t know, Alaska has been hit by a massive storm, causing severe flooding. Many Indigenous villages have been completely wiped out, with some houses floating away with PEOPLE INSIDE THEM. Please keep posting to spread the info. They need help.
These are mostly indigenous communities in Alaska that have been slammed by the storm.

The local manager of a small airline fleet says he is the only one doing evacuations right now!

Defund FEMA and people are abandoned. Defund public media and no-one knows.

FYI, today is Indigenous Peoples Day.

not to be mushy on main or whatever but I get strangers coming up to me on the street now saying that my silly little online jokes and videos make their day better and tbh I don't think there's much that's cooler than that
Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Larry Campbell is the new DTES czar and I remember him well in the years I struggled in the DTES.

He was a strong advocate for harm reduction services like supervised consumption sites and his administration focused on health approaches instead of punishment.

1/13 Forced Sterilization Is Not History in Canada

In 1928 Alberta passed the Sexual Sterilization Act, giving a government board power to sterilize people it deemed unfit to reproduce. Indigenous women and girls were heavily targeted.

If you haven't seen my ABC CEO video about Jimmy Kimmel's firing yet, this pretty much sums it up (though I would love for you to watch the rest of it because I tried really hard to come up with fun ways to describe butts and would hate for that to go to waste). 🔗 in comments!
