Knesset Speaker A. Ohana:"Any deliberate attack on civilians is of course a war crime. This attack is a particularly serious war crime" (First time in months that Israeli spokesmen say something that is true and remembers the countless war crimes that have been committed in Gaza)

I just in general oppose people killing other people. Fellow humans, please stop doing it.
I strongly oppose Israel’s attacks against Iran and Iran’s attacks against Israel. Both endanger civilians and risk all-out war.

If you’re like my opponents and only condemning one side, I hope you find a spine and some moral clarity.

Maybe it's because I'm a third child, but I find this argument bizarre.

Who knows how well off they'll be in 15 years? Maybe you'll lose your job. Maybe a parent will need care. Maybe Liz Truss will double your mortgage costs.

And maybe you'll make bad choices. But that's hardly the child's fault.

Rita's argument was always a formidable and persuasive one that could be admired without reservation, even despite being sure it was ultimately mistaken. Dorothy's reply, as always, captures that perfectly.

Just read 'Which Child'. It simultaneously closes the debate forever and opens it forever by showing more clearly than I've ever seen before what Dunnett intended and then arguing that authorial intentions don't matter.

When a friend calls you and your first thought is ‘oh God, he’s about to tell me his whole family are dead’ you have to respond.

See today’s Guardian for the full story about Mohammed’s family in Jabalia, Gaza. Our Government can and must do more.

This Johnsonian waste of space lives in West London and is (tragically my) MP for the deeply rural (/s) constituency of Beaconsfield, the bit between the M25, M40, M4, and A404(M). On my many walks in Beaconsfield’s shrinking share of greenbelt I’ve never seen a solar farm.
Meanwhile, the Conservatives' recent minister for Net Zero, Joy Morrissey is in the House of Commons labelling solar farms "an attack on the English rural way of life"

What a daft waste of money. An AI response is not a response, so just save the £40m and don’t respond to complaints at all.

Right. If you want to know what's really going on, we're going to have stop falling for the spin & asking better questions.

What on earth was Palantir's top UK dude doing anywhere near this? And why has neither govt revealed the sweetheart tech deal?

To think that Israeli citizens themselves need to tell the UK govt this…

The group, many of whom hold British citizenship, said that the prospect of mass starvation in Gaza is 'imminent and intolerable'
