Incredibly short-sighted and irresponsible, and completely disconnected from the real values & priorities of Vancouverites. This move would be awful not only for Vancouver, but also for all the cities that Vancouver’s leadership has inspired over decades of North American sustainability leadership.

Excellent clip on the history of hostile architecture in NYC-it’s current form seen in the leaning benches in subways &lack of any seating (except Amtrak Lounge) in Moynihan station impacting ppl who are unhoused, older, and/or disabled. This is why we all need to put some distance between ourselves and the US and develop some psychological resilience.
The closer your cultural/social/economic/security etc links are to the US, the more vulnerable you are to being sucked into the vortex of anger and violence.

In the first big council meeting of Ken Sim and ABC Vancouver's reign at city hall, I noticed that the way amendments came up seemed fairly planned and partisan.
Their chief of staff attacked me in pretty personal terms, and multiple ABC councillors liked it.
