Confession time: The main reason for my trip wasn't to visit Blackpool. It was a pilgrimage to Preston for a visit to the brutalist bus station. It didn't disappoint.

Yesss! 👏This is the message we need- practical and hopeful, galvanising and inspiring. No other party is offering this. Proud to be @greenparty.org.uk and a @bristolgreenparty.bsky.social councillor

Ahead of next week's Budget, the Green Party is calling for immediate cost of living measures to cut bills by hundreds of pounds, and for fair taxes on extreme wealth to raise over £30 billion a year.

We wish we didn’t have to keep saying it. The oil from Rosebank could give rise to 200 million tonnes of extra CO2 emissions and it doesn’t mean lower energy bills for UK households.

Stop Rosebank Coalition have a Mass Picket at DESNZ on Thurs 20th Nov 8-9.30am. All welcome.

This is a new low from a govt plumbing the depths of performative cruelty in hopes that the public won’t notice they have no answers to the real issues facing this country

A sensible, humane govt would focus on safe routes to prevent people making dangerous small boat crossings

Bristol saw another anti-migrant protest yesterday, shamefully outside a hotel sheltering asylum seekers, including young children. But again counter protestors far outnumbered the far right, showing love & support for this vulnerable group. Hatred & racism will never win in our fair city.

⚖️ Fund climate justice for the Global South
❌ Keep fossil fuels in the ground
🌳 End deforestation by 2030

Fantastic response from @zackpolanski.bsky.social on the disgraceful refusal by Government to put money into the tropical forest fund
Trevor Philips, "Prime Minister Keir Starmer is coming back from #COP30 having refused to put money into the tropical forest fund on the grounds that we can't afford it. He's right, isn't he?"

Zack Polanski, "No, it's outrageous. When it comes to climate, we have to look at the cost of inaction"

Did you know you pay more fuel tax on a single car journey than a billionaire does on a private jet flight?

Right now the gov is subsidising tax breaks, when they could be using that tax to generate billions for public services.

Help us change this: https://bit.ly/43NAeFN

Next week MPs are voting on the fate of our protected wildlife and habitats. Lives are on the line so why isn’t this everywhere?

This is deeply disappointing from Starmer.

The UK *helped design* this 'TFFF' fund, designed to stop deforestation, and supposedly 'continues to back the fund' (in theory). But now isn't putting any money into it 🤯

How embarrassing for the UK.
