Christian Climate Action take prayerful, non-violent direct action to push for justice in this climate emergency
SOUND ON - we thought we’d share a little bit of what we were doing outside the General Synod today. Praying for the Church of England to be leaders in our fight against the evil of climate destruction.

We’ll be there again on Friday from 8-10 in the morning if you want to drop by.

This morning we prayed for the Church of England General Synod. We asked Synod members (including the Archbishop of Canterbury elect, who arrived with her bicycle) to remember that we are in a climate crisis.
Wednesday lunchtime we will hold a short service outside Church House. All very welcome.

Last week saw a government report that the adverse impacts of the climate crisis on countries across the globe increases the threat to UK and world security. Yet by cutting support to vulnerable nations climate impacts and the threat to security is being ratcheted up.

Also, children will die.

So @thelabourparty are you going to keep your promise? Our future depends upon it.

Great video! We need church leadership and action in the face of climate and ecological breakdown.

Play your part by calling on the General Synod members representing the diocese you live in to add their name in support of the GS motion.

This report sets out the stark consequences of the climate and nature crisis. Read it, write to your church leaders, politicians, and business leaders, demanding meaningful climate action. Then join us on the streets to say, stop destroying Creation.

We are hugely inspired by this act of love. Our faith calls us to put ourselves on the line against oppression and injustice.

This is what faith leadership looks like.
🚨✈️ BREAKING: In -20° weather, over 100 clergy and faith leaders were arrested at MSP Airport as they gathered in peaceful, prayerful resistance to demand airlines stand with Minnesotans and say #ICEOutOfMN.

Love is caring about billions that a new UN report says are being affected by irreversible losses of natural water sources. It’s a justice issue - the burdens fall on the already poor and the benefits of overuse accrue to more powerful actors.

Love means taking action to #StopCrucifyingCreation

30 people prayed outside court, while inside four CCA people pleaded not guilty to aggravated trespass for the September DON’T CRUCIFY CREATION banner drop from the tower of Bath Abbey. ‘The Church is failing to tell the truth about climate breakdown and its impact on all of us’ said Rev Bill White.

Our next look back at 2025 -
In October we worked with Wild Card to highlight the need for the Church of England to rewild 30% of its institutionally owned land to play its part in helping reverse the disastrous decline of nature in this country. This is one of our Stop Crucifying Creation demands.
January 6, 2026 at 8:22 PM
Last September, four CCA people dropped a banner from the tower of Bath Abbey as part of the launch of our Stop Crucifying Creation campaign.

They will be in court on 7th Jan on charges of aggravated trespass. Please pray for them.
Join our vigil at Bath Magistrates Court on Wednesday at 9.30am.

Looking back to warmer days. Many of us were at the Greenbelt Festival at the end of August, so we took the opportunity to remind festival goers that Barclays funds the causes of climate disasters. We hope everyone at every level takes action to bank better.
