Christian Climate Action take prayerful, non-violent direct action to push for justice in this climate emergency
The start of #COP30 is a good time to remind a fossil fuel company of the human consequences of the harm they are doing to the planet. They could be part of the solution but they are doubling down on fossil fuel extraction.

Governments need to make polluters pay to make things right.

This morning we prayed in gratitude for the sacrifice of Marcus facing deportation for peaceful climate protest and the sacrifice of all who act to bring awareness and a change in our attitude towards Creation.

And now we pray in gratitude for the decision that he will not be deported.

#COP30 begins tomorrow. We think that environmental defenders should be at its heart - not fossil fuel lobbyists. Join us tomorrow in London outside BP at 11.30am and Shell at 4.30pm to help us make our point. For full details see christianclimateaction.org/2025/10/08/v...

Over the last two days CCA have been leading a pilgrimage across our green and pleasant land to pray for the #nationaltrust before reminding them at today’s AGM that #Barclays is a massive funder of climate destruction and they really need to bank better.

As we pray for the Caribbean in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa we also pray for Southeast Asia. Mass evacuations have been ordered as another powerful typhoon rapidly strengthens.

Scientists warn that our warming climate intensifies storms across the world making them increasingly destructive.

Thank you so much to everyone who has generously donated to our match funding campaign.

Wonderfully, we've had a lot of donations in the last 24 hours.

You are still welcome to donate to CCA and we will put all funds to good use, but donations will no longer be matched as we’ve reached our target.

Due to a kind anonymous donor, all donations made to Christian Climate Action up to Wednesday 5th November will be matched, up to a maximum of £10,000.

Donations can be made via our website.

Last week the Climate Change Committee told the Government that their assessment of the latest science on future climate change is that current expectations of future green house gas emissions will see global warming continue beyond 2050 into the second half of the century.
October 22, 2025 at 6:31 PM
We are joining Chris Packham and Wild Card in inviting the incoming Archbishop of Canterbury to protect nature by supporting the rewilding of church land.
You are warmly invited to be there with us for this colourful, family-friendly occasion.

Luffy the dog joined CCA at the protest outside the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero today.
Luffy may not get it, but the government does.
They know we are in a climate emergency.
They promised us no new oil and gas.
They know we have to keep it in the ground.
They know …

REQUIEM FOR PROTEST
We really really want you to watch this hard-hitting but beautiful short film because robust protest is a fundamental part of a healthy democracy and the right to meaningful protest is being taken from us (not just because there are CCA people in it).

Meet the lovely Ruth. Part of Christian Climate Action from its earliest days, for decades she has been steadfastly raising the alarm about the danger we face as result of what we are doing to our planet.

We think her words cut to the heart of the matter. If not the body of Christ then whom?
