Preserved in … plastic. I bought this Teasel paperweight for the lovely wife many years ago when she collected the things but only recently have we grown the plant ourselves in our little wildflower patch.
A round Perspex paperweight containing a dried Wild Teasel seed head sits on an outstretched hand next to a growing example of the same plant in our garden. The living plant’s spiky flower head sits atop the the thorny plant’s stalk. Slender green and white leaves stretch out from the base.

I took myself on a birthday day trip to Newport, OR yesterday- the weather was absolutely amazing! I got to see so many harbor seals and enjoyed a dinner at a bayfront restaurant, and after that I got to sit with the ocean and ask for guidance going into this new age 🌊
