The arrest and ICE hold against Juan Carlos is not just troubling because he is a U.S. citizen, he was charged under a recent anti-immigrant which we sued and temporarily blocked in court. Juan Carlos is free now but it’s clear that Florida continues to act in a lawless manner.

Chosen Morris should still be alive. When adults fail to securely store their guns, kids can access them and devastating incidents like this can happen. Each year, nearly 360 children under 18 access an unsecured gun and unintentionally shoot themselves or someone else.
Four-year-old Chosen Morris fatally shot himself after gaining access to a loaded gun in his family’s car and discharging the weapon. Authorities believe Chosen was excited about a family outing to get pizza and went to wait in the car in the garage when he discovered the gun.
