We got this
It's official! Sean Orr's on the ballot April 5th.

“I can’t wait to be at City Council to be a thorn in Ken Sim’s side every day – fighting for the housing we need, demanding real climate action like better public transit, & working to restore integrity to City Hall.” @seanorr.bsky.social #vanpoli

Ken Sim has no mandate to make these brutal cuts.

ABC has no mandate to impose austerity.

The City's own Budget survey showed people overwhelmingly prefer tax rates that maintain public services.

We're fighting to stop these cuts and evict ABC.

Brutal austerity for everything else, but $50 million more for over-budget cops.

TAX ME. It would be financially advantageous for my family to take a tax deferral. But I don’t and I won’t and neither does any of my family. Because we care about funding our city services. We want to see improvement.

Stop cutting. tax more.

The vast majority of budget survey respondents says they’d payback moderate property tax increase to protect services.

Remember this is all to save the average condo owner 8 bucks a month.
Vancouver's proposed 2026 budget has been released.

It proposes a property tax freeze, a 10% increase to the Police Services budget, a 6% increase to Fire/Rescue Services, and lots of other cuts, including Arts & Culture, Planning & Sustainability, and much more.

What a night. What a campaign.
Congratulations, New York City!!

Zohran Mamdani’s win is historic, the result of a grassroots campaign that fought to make life more affordable.

Vancouver’s next municipal election is October 17, 2026.

If #Mamdani wins in New York, especially if he wins BIG, it would be the most powerful indication we’ve seen that big money, big media & big politics CAN be beat in today’s USA. That might be the most hopeful & inspiring thing to come out of a depressed & broken United States this year. #VOTEMamdani

Ken Sim and ABC are bringing ~$120m in cuts to community centres, parks, and public services.

On Thursday, City Council is voting on a $17m retroactive boost to the 2025 police budget.

Now the Police Board is asking for another extra $50 million in 2026.

Their silence on why they voted no on this is very confusing.
I just spoke to city council in support of #PtFry motion for #Vancouver to be Canada’s leader to lower voting age to 16. Many passionate youth speakers! All devastated by ABC Councillors silence, then their unanimous NO vote. This was not democracy! Wipe them out at next election! #vote16

Frustrated that my colleagues referred this motion.
Halloween is the one night of the year kids get to take over the neighbourhood - but when it comes to the risk of being hit by drivers, it's also by far the most dangerous.

@lucymaloney.bsky.social has a motion to fix this! Please read & email council (and call if you can) with your support!

Turns out, “trust me bro” isn’t a plan.
ABC's pre-election tax gimmick threatens the delivery and quality of vital public services.

They ignored public feedback in the City Budget survey, which showed support for tax rates that would prevent cuts to services.

This is no way to govern a city.
