Writer, human, uncle, recuperative multi-generic hybrid, obliterated romantic, scribbling, managing crap health stuff, steps and swims at a time. Saw the NBA fall, in another life. London. Home is a WIP, with Shelves, No Commercial Value. It hurts. Always.

Holy shit, just learned about the typewriter art of Montserrat Alberich Escardívol, a Catalan typist. Using an extra wide typewriter and 180 color ribbons, she built up elaborate images from simple characters like 'm' and '.' and ';'. Here is her typewritten painting of the Cathedral of Barcelona.

It has good reasons to suspect X is not meeting its legal obligations to run a legally compliant complaints system in Ireland. It is not giving users who report unlawful content the chance to appeal

So in the end, the man who Davie (ironically considered a Tory) appointed in 2022 to stop the next crisis ended up causing his demise.

One, ex-Sunday Times political editor turned lobbyist Michael Prescott, had worked at PR firm Hanover. While at the BBC, Prescott raised internal concerns about editorial standards - but after leaving this summer, he went to his old media contacts with a list of the BBC’s failings.

Three years ago, after the Martin Bashir scandal, BBC boss Tim Davie tried to prevent future crises by appointing two “external editorial experts” to scrutinise BBC journalism. Oddly, both came from PR rather than journalism.

If you live in north London you can come to this on Friday. Should be fun

Y’know, I saw this yesterday and felt a warm pang, despite watching the entirety of Flux in circumstances (and health) I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. It was imaginative and fun, when life was anything but, so never tell me the show lost its magic in 2018, 2013, 1984, 1977, 1964 or whatnot.
ON THIS DAY... 4 years ago, Doctor Who Magazine #571 was first released by Panini Comics. This issue came in three different covers, displaying Swarm, Azure and Skaak, respectively.
