'Hypocrite' Nigel Farage didn't pay £44k stamp duty then blasted Angela Rayner
Last year Nigel Farage announced he had bought a house in Clacton, Essex, but in fact it was his partner Laure Ferrari, 46, who shelled out almost £900,000 for the property

Putin is weak and useless. That’s why he causes chaos all over the world. His way of not looking like such a failure as a leader is to make other countries look worse, so Russia doesn’t look as shit in comparison.

The man who has put up the most England flags in Manchester was caught in 2016 trying to smuggle 4 Vietnamese people into the UK.

Now he is out of prison hanging up flags.

Any old grift.

Her sentence followed guidelines. Personally, particularly with prisons so crowded, I’d have liked to see doing several hundred hours of Community Payback, anonymously painting community centres or litter picking rather than becoming the Rights new ‘political’ martyr.
It’s a bit of a double edged question though.
She is a wrong ‘un. No doubt.
The sentence was too harsh, but she was, rightly, sentenced in line with the sentencing guidelines. It’s the guidelines that are wrong. The level of sentencing inflation in this country over the last 20 years is wild.

Polling on Lucy Connolly tweet following her release finds that 35% think her sentence too harsh, but the majority of Brits: 52% say it was about right or too lenient. Most 2024 Reform voters say too harsh, Tory voters split harsh or lenient/about right. Most Labour/LD/Green the latter

Unless they already have a lifetime ban!
Heart of England, seven and a half thousand at a third tier football game, no sign of any protests, a few flags en route.

Notably, none of those calling for riots under thin cover of concern for the country are football fans.

Seems slogans like that can get you elected 🤷‍♂️
Far too many bought “Take back control” and “Get Brexit done”.

Seems that’s true of enough of the public to give him a massive majority under our current electoral system.
The British public don’t do critical thinking and Farage knows it.

And how many UK voters buy into his simplistic ‘common sense’ solution to a complex international challenge.
He may well with our fawning national press and broadcaster’s level of scrutiny

Right. I'm going through Reform UK's accounts for 2024.

Huge jump in income from donations: "The accounts included show the Party received donations from both individuals and corporates, amounting to a total of £10,206,321 (2023; £1,345,614)"

British press barons for British people. 😉🇬🇧
The UK press needs to be brought back under full UK resident owners. They are completely out of control !

...if Labour don't do something about it, they won't survive the next election.

“While we understand the clear potential for offence, our assessment found that the brief use of this language was, in our view, employed to provoke debate, and was likely to be in line with audience expectations for this channel and show.” 🤷‍♂️
“While we understand the clear potential for offence... this language was in line with audience expectations for this channel.”

So, make your channel a sewer and you're free to pump out shite?

Ludicrous by @ofcom.bsky.social. The clue is in the word "STANDARDS".

The amount of work that went into this 75 minutes almost killed me. I hope you get a lot of joy and insight from it. x
