Home Alone and Home Alone 2 still hold up really well. They also look.. really good considering they are roughly 35 year old films at this point.

My Thanksgiving abroad story is that the only time I’ve ever puked blood was when we though the guy who deep fried ducks could handle a turkey that someone got from a Wal-Mart in Nanchang

Early birthday present to myself. Mainly because the local cheese shop was already selling out of brabander reserve, which only comes out once a year. And, once it's gone it's gone until next year. Also my other favorite, alp blossom on the right.

Stuff I've found re: baroque improvisation:

* Few have learned how to do it.
* This lady can do it really well: m.youtube.com/watch?v=SmO8...
* This dude was obsessed & wrote a lot about it: tedgreene.com/teaching/bar...
* A rare expensive book: www.musicandbooks.edizionicurci.it/prodotto/cou...

Did an early thanksgiving with subset of wife's family last week and all I ate were ham and rolls, lol. I don't even like ham that much, but there was no turkey.
with charity and goodwill, i must here part ways with rolls.

I unironically like these Chibson picks a lot. They are just Tortex Jazz III's. I think the 1.35mm or something?

I'm just a dumb dumb, but I it seems like MTG might be vying for 2028 as well.
alright since my computer didn't want to post the screenshot of the story I'll do it here; I think AOC will go for President in 2028 instead of Senate because I think she'll see that there's no clear left choice among the main field (Buttigieg, AOC, Newsom, Kamala) besides her
2028 watch: The most effective ad for Prop 50 came not from Gavin Newsom. It came from AOC.
-Super PAC Future Forward found that Ocasio-Cortez's direct-to-camera ad did better than ads featuring Newsom — Prop 50's chief cheerleader — and Barack Obama.

I have decided to uh, explore baroque improvisation? Apparently not a lot of material on "what if I want to learn how to compose a fugue on the fly."

I once showed up to a cancelled soccer practice due to 11 year old me being extremely online. Missed a phone call from my coach that they were cancelling probably because I was on the dial-up downloading Linux floppy install images.
back in the BBS days some kids wouldn't be able to talk their parents into getting a second phone line but would want to run a board so it'd be online from like 10pm to 6am or something and if you called at the wrong time the kid's mom would answer. Guess we're bringing it back.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts unemployment website used to stop working at 10PM (not sure if it still does), which is bad for a public website, but gave me the idea, yet unfulfilled, of a webstore that was closed at night.
