Imagine being made to act as a certain character your whole life because every time you try and do anything that comes natural to you, people tell you it's wrong or just weird. Sounds exhausting, right?

That's autistic life for you.

Imagine living in a country where this is a headline. Oh, wait. We don’t have to fucking imagine it, do we.

This week I'll be attending the funeral of a beautiful and beloved young trans man. We need to keep educating, and we need to keep learning. The older we are the more we need to remind ourselves to keep learning.

We could end malnutrition if the world’s billionaires all gave up .1% of their wealth to feed people. No need to involve AI. We could have solved it before computers even existed.

Putting this somewhere that I might be able to find it again.
In case you are considering a future #PhD, in my new role as Associate Professor at Monash University, Melbourne, I am excited about supervising future doctoral work in these areas:

Your reminder that the boats can be stopped permanently and overnight by opening asylum processing centres in France (as invited) and providing safe routes (aka ferries). Drowning innocent people in the Channel is a Tory lifestyle choice.

So the more I try to onboard with BSky the more confused I get.

I'm seeing posts from maybe 3 people and (no offence intended) I'm not seeing any from at least one of my deep interest groups. What am I doing wrong?

Rishi Sunak's spokesman said last month that the Prime Minister believes gay conversion therapy is "abhorrent" and that "no one should be harmed or harassed for who they are."

Today the Prime Minister dropped his plans to ban it from the King's Speech.

I've been playing one of those games where you design rooms & then other players vote on your design, & it's surprising how many players have screennames like "Steve's Girl" or "Connor's Mom." I mean, maybe it's just for lack of thinking of anything else, but you never see men doing that.

There’s a term “stochastic terrorism” when someone triggers others to act so can claim he had nothing to do with it. The law isn’t good at stopping this. But Trump is now a criminal defendant, subject to limitations. Courts must now use their power to stop his online terrorism.

I don't know if this is allowed but I have a couple of codes going spare if you're short of invitations. Dunno if there are PMs on BSky but if there are, PM me and first come, first served.

A long read but very well worth it.
Sen. Mitt Romney has had it. With his senate seat and his party. And he dropped two big bombs yesterday that have his colleagues scurrying to avoid him in the cafeteria. https://open.substack.com/pub/statuskuo/p/mitt-romney-calls-it-quits-and-his?r=1zr8b&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

OK so need to ask a couple of newbie questions.

How do I do / get emojis on here?

Also roughly how long does it take to be able to invite others? A friend has been waiting to join for months.
