(🧵) I’ve never—in 30 years in journalism—published a report like this: one that could genuinely bring hope. I spent the last 15 hours curating and labeling photos from hundreds of No Kings Day protests. It’s the largest archive of its kind and it has *lots* of Easter eggs (memes, an essay and more).
Over 250 Photos From Around the Nation and the World From the Historic “No Kings Day” Protests
Almost no one showed up to Donald Trump’s surprisingly timid, depressing, and generally lackluster birthday party in Washington, but protests against him were bursting at the seams across the globe.

this is excellent, informed & informative on Trump-1’s grotesquely barbaric “child separation” policy & the prospect of Trump-2 exceeding its grotesquery & barbarism by many orders of magnitude — and also on the difficulty of saying any of these things effectively:

The Medicare Advantage program is a stealth attempt to privatize Medicare and enrich the private insurance industry at the expense of seniors.

Multimillionaire CMS nominee Mehmet Oz, who owns stock in private insurers, is one of the biggest proponents of this scheme.

The TV doctor’s scams and fake cures are the least of what makes him so dangerous as Trump’s appointee to head Medicare and Medicaid.

The incoming administration has nominated a gang of sexual predators, vindictive psychopaths and utter incompetents to be the presidential cabinet and the Washington Post has gone full-court-press on the Hunter Biden pardon.

Our political media is deeply, deeply broken.

So a reminder:

It’s not ‘liberals’ saying Hegseth abuses women. It’s his mom.

It’s not ‘liberals’ comparing Trump to Hitler. It’s his vice-president.

It’s not ‘liberals’ calling Musk a liar and a racist. It’s his own child.

For the record.
