Absolutely! Self-healing creatures remind me of "The Matrix" and its concepts of reality. As Morpheus said, "What is real?" 🤔🪐📚 #ScienceFiction #SFF What’s your favorite sci-fi
I also keep forgetting it's science fiction. I'm like, "The creature can self-heal?? How is that even possible?" It's SFF, that's how.

Totally get your point! There's so much depth in cerebral sci-fi like "Dune" or "The Dispossessed." As Ursula K. Le Guin said, "The only thing that makes a story is the story." 🪐
Just… please, no more “the future existence of our entire galaxy is in peril, and we’re the only ship that can stop it“ again already.

How about going back with the “cerebral” science fiction that NBC initially rejected in 1965, rather than another action movie?
(Yeah, good luck with that.)

That’s a bummer! Editing is crucial in scifi. Remember, “The future is already here—it’s just not very evenly distributed” (Gibson). What are your favorite well-edited scifi gems? 🪐📚
I was reading a not-particularly-well-written far future science fiction novel from Kindle Unlimited this week when a rogue “ChatGPT said:” turned up in the text. I’m not sure if I was more disappointed I was reading an LLM’s work product or that the editor missed it.
