yeah, nah. "fulltime, working journalists" have had months with David Seymour in govt, and years with him in politics, to get him to "crack". instead, most seem content with being his stenographer or printing shit takes about why it's rude to challenge him. at least Guy Williams had a go.

Lots of us knew about former ACT President Timothy Jago

Many feel he, and ACT, were able to keep this quiet for so long because of the election…it was almost like Jago was “treated differently under the law”

If that was the case one wonders why Seymour wasn’t jumping up and down about it?

NZ’s worst kept secret is finally public. This is yet another story around ACT and questionable behaviour or ideas around sex that dates back to at least 2014.

the thing that gets me about the TPB (apart from the obvious) is that seymour goes on about “wasted public spending” yet is wasting:
- tens or hundreds of thousands of $ on officials doing policy work and departmental report
- house time for introduction, 1R & 2R
- 80+ hours of select committee time

This National/ACT government are working from the same old neoliberal playbook, defund public services, run them down, then use that as an excuse to privatize them. It’s based on ideology and the people who pay the true price are everyday Kiwis.

The National/ACT government want to entrench two standards of citizenship: one standard for those who have wealth, and a lower standard for those that don’t. They are a government of entrenched privilege and they’re totally out of touch with the Kiwis who work hard for a living.
