omg adding 11/23/58 to my calendar now
It’s Fibonacci (sequence) day! 11/23 = 1,1,2,3,…

In 33 years, we’ll get the elusive 11/23/58

nice post on building a writing practice (and cool to see a preview of some @leaflet.pub drafts there!)

From the syllabus:

Went on a long walk near the Brooklyn waterfront yesterday & stumbled across a street sweeper depot!

And we witnessed a special moment — an intimate ritual of municipal maintenance — a street sweeper full of wet leaves & dirt & debris decanting itself into a garbage truck

shout out to @marktomlinson.bsky.social for landing a few nice little fixes / improvements for @leaflet.pub lately, much appreciated!

we've got a few more tagged 'good-first-issue' here: tangled.org/leaflet.pub/... (trying to gradually become more tangled-first but PRs on github fine too haha)

good thread on the challenges of social media fragmentation / bringing back Old Good Twitter…I still miss it too, lots good here but not the same!

need some new shit here tbh…like can we do a funding drive where we pool $ to pledge to charity for fave posters to get on bsky? lol or similar
I miss PL Twitter so much. There has truly been no replacement. We're fragmented now across three websites, and it sucks!!

Great piece!

> I argue that skateboarding, too, is a pedagogical instrument…

> The playfulness skating allows is not about turning cities into playgrounds but turning individuals into people who can find playgrounds in cities.

Made a collection inspired by this, for @leaflet.pub x atproto community tinkering!

Lots of cool integrations & interop & experiments — from other apps rendering leaflet posts to cross-posting and import tools and markdown pipelines, even leaflet as headless CMS for an *atprotated* website :)

yes many cool projects in the atmosphere are on leaflet *but* the insider early adopters have rapidly become the minority & that's a good thing!

we're making a _great social publishing app_ & you don't have to care about protocol stuff to use it :)

I started building #Lanyards because I believe researchers need a neat place that aggregates all of their ideas, activities and works, so that they're more-discoverable when opportunities arise.

Why I started building Lanyards
What is it? Why should researchers care about it?

Hey historians 🗃️: Do you know of presses that publish short books (around 30K words / 90 pages plus notes)? I have been working on an article project that could easily turn into an great micro-history of that length, but I'm not sure it would make it to the usual full 60-90K words...

love this idea! Compvember — a "visual arts learning challenge" from @torrent-empress.bsky.social

I'm a big fan of daily creative challenges & have thought about trying one around e.g. poetic forms…

also, how can @leaflet.pub be better for this kind of thing? one feature we're exploring: tags :)
