I vaguely remember tweeting something like the country that effectively captures this free energy source at scale will rule the 21st century. whelp.

The exhausting thing about neurodivergence is you are always chasing the next shiny thing. I don’t mind losing my stuff in my own house all the time but a new hobby every few months is a lot.

The Dream Hotel is not a great book to be reading with the dystopian vibes this week. 😳

LA is a hard city to live in. No doubt about it. I've been here since 1990, with about ten months off one time when I was working in NY. That's a lot of months of making rent, dealing with the particular demands of the city, and learning about the people I share the city with.

This is from months ago now, but in my current moment, Julia’s words resonate yet again.
when you examine a text written by a human you can find layers and layers of meaning and intentionality, the complexity of the human conscious, an opportunity for one mind to commune with another outside the bounds of time and space. when you examine AI text you drown in a teaspoon of nothing.

So I get my prescriptions filled at the grocery store bc they give me a discount on gas. (Up to $1.00/gallon off) Now I have learned that I build 10 gallons of gas I earn a free gallon of milk.

I feel like there’s a 9th grade math word problem just dying to manifest here.

We need to be honest with ourselves that just because an elected official is a “Democrat” doesn’t mean they are working for the American people. 😑

I cancelled my Spotify membership. It’s been coming for a long time but considering their broad use of generative AI to push out actual artists, promoting men like Joe Rogan and Andrew Tate, and firing humans who made the product great to give their CEO more $, they are dead to me.

Seems to me some execs were just waiting for AI tools to give them the answers they want instead of having to coerce their human reports into doing so.

Stopped going to Target a couple years ago when we noticed a trend of prices on the shelf being a little cheaper than other stores but the price was different at checkout. 🤨 Happened too often to be coincidental.

Add DEI concerns and there’s no reason to ever go back.
