George Washington has a much larger legacy than Napoleon because, while he was a perhaps slightly below-average tactician and merely good at operations, he was an outstanding strategist who understood what his legacy actually depended on.

Napoleon was a human hurricane that came and went.

This is only slightly more nonsensical than that time in European Escalation when Jimmy Carter accidentally conquered the Warsaw Pact because NORAD got spooked by a flight of geese

I don't know how long it will take for a political movement that is pro-trans to take the reins of the British state, but when one does it might be a good idea to use the organs of said state to consolidate pro-trans views.

I don't know, but I think that the idea that a small ideological cadre can take control of a national public-service broadcaster with the help of appointments by political allies, and spread their views across the country might be something that trans people can use?

I don't think arguing for the BBC to be dismantled by a far right government in revenge for ideological capture by a bunch of transphobes will make anything better.

Its also just nuts to say that the best training place for new journalist talent should be scraping for peanuts at global-race-war-now dot com instead. At a well run BBC.

it's not even like you need hypotheticals there is an actual existing english speaking country with no significant presence of public broadcasting and nearly all news intermediated by private interests. it's not going so well!

It would also increase the ratings of other news channels across the board, thus increasing the perceived legitimacy of GB News

Sorry, but as a big BBC News hater, this viewpoint is just a complete inability to imagine how things could get even worse
