Bad games are the best games because they create game designers. If 5e were perfect, there would be only one game. Instead, 5e sucks so there are 10,000 tiny indie games that suck less and that’s beautiful

People who follow me... Why? I mean I appreciate it, but quite literally half my posts are asking how to use this site

Also what have I done where the algorithm went "yes, people should see this person"?

Spreading to the few followers i have. This needs to stop. No industry should have this much power over line and death and be for-profit
Thread to remind you about how awful private for-profit healthcare can be.

It's almost like we shouldn't tolerate this!
Storytime.

In 2005, my mom died from cancer, but the real cause was the actions taken by an insurance company 12 years earlier. What happened to her was evil, hard to identify or fight, and hidden from the public by legal mechanisms. Because of that, I have no idea how often it has happened.

I'm curious, what is your litmus test for bot accounts? Vibes? Is there a pattern you look for? #botaccounts #security

Working in the field I do gives a unique perspective on the state of the world. For example, bank robberies and burglaries increase around the holidays

Also do not rob banks, you'll never get enough money to justify a federal crime charge (also, ya know, illegal)

Maybe it's the holidays, but I've been dealing with a lot more anxiety over the last week or so. Feels of dread, insomnia. Wondering if it's me or if things are just that bad my subconscious is picking up on something I'm not.

Basically any knowledge of security and/or intel. You know how it works now. And what happened and who messed up. And there's nothing to be done but put blame aside and triage the aftermath.
And now you know why they don't, a mind sharpened in recklessness, instead of taught under an edge honed by stone. Their teeth have never met carbide despite your shared canine. They have won, but they have never lost. A defender fat on marrow is not desperate the way a wolf in winter fever is.

..... Same
i’m coming to terms with the idea that my favorite way to write is to build a universe of context for a tiny kernel of a story, just writing the whole world around a little anecdote, spiraling my way around the point instead of getting to it.

My brother-in-law took one (1) class on ornithology in undergrad so he gets to spend the rest of his life receiving texts from me asking him to identify various birds I saw
