I'm speechless. So much chaos and unnecessary suffering ahead - for what? My mum's outstanding care home would be gutted without the people from outside the UK. How will we get people out of hospital and home?
We have a desperate shortage of care workers. This has a catastrophic effect on the NHS too.

Labour’s decision to close the care worker visa scheme for overseas recruitment is appalling, kneejerk politics that - yet again - will penalise the most vulnerable.

🇪🇺 Happy Europe Day 🇪🇺

The European Union was fundamentally a peace project that rose from the ashes of the horrors of the 2nd World War.

Today, we celebrate its values and remember why we are stronger together.

Talk about large print! Love God's book!
The printing press was invented in the German city of Mainz by Johannes Gutenberg. To mark his 625th birthday, the city has set a world record by printing the world's largest Bible page (32㎡) using thirteen printing plates and a car for the printing press.

“Why do I believe in Christianity? 1-I studied the historical evidence for the resurrection and found it compelling. 2-I met a community of Christians whose lives were compelling. 3-I put my faith in Christ and had a personal encounter of his reality. Those are 3 ways of knowing”

Here is my best guidance for action, rendered beautifully by the great John Lithgow. I first published these lessons more than eight years ago, in late 2016. They open the twenty chapters of "On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century."

Fascinating. There is do much more than we have seen or imagined.
Beneath your feet is a complex network of fungal trade routes carrying essential nutrients from the soil to the roots of plants.

Dr. @tobykiers.bsky.social joins us to talk about how these complex networks form.

Cheer up, it's a new day with fresh opportunities!
It doesn't take much to upset or unsettle somebody. A word, a look, a gesture can be enough. But then it doesn't take much to comfort somebody, make them smile, feel safe, or welcome. Given the choice, I know what I'd do. We need to look after one another.
#GoodMorning, everyone.
