On this day in 1957, the first Pugwash Conference was held in Pugwash, Nova Scotia at the Thinkers' Lodge. Hosted by Cyrus Eaton, 22 scientists from around the world attended to discuss nuclear disarmament. In 1995, the conference won the Nobel Peace Prize.

I was asked by an editor of a French printed magazine to write some words about Deus Ex for its 25th anniversary. "How does it change the face of game design?" Since that will be in print, translated, and likely edited for length (and otherwise) I thought I'd post my thoughts in entirety here.

Yes I started SwiftOnSecurity during daily rehabilitation in a stroke treatment center on leave from my job.
My life story is here with a bunch of pictures. It has twists, like kidnapping and a year in exile. (okay that's a bit dramatic but not wrong)

I am still digesting all of this, but I'm pretty confident that NOW is not the time to remove the independence of independent watchdogs intended to keep governments within the guardrails.
