As someone doing their clinical training in community mental health in MN, I hear a lot of people worried that they're not doing enough. The most important part of the resistance is to believe what is happening is wrong, even if you can't do anything else. That is what leads to change.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

A reminder at awful times like this
![In the immediate aftermath, news outlets will get it wrong.
2. Don't trust anonymous sources.
3. Don't trust stories that cite another news outlet as the source of the information.
4. There's almost never a second shooter.
5. Pay attention to the language the media uses.
• "We are getting reports".. could mean anything.
• "We are seeking confirmation"... means they don't have it.
• "[News outlet] has learned".. means it has a scoop or is going out on limb.
6. Look for news outlets close to the incident.
1. Compare multiple sources.
8. Big news brings out the takers. And photoshoppers.
9. Beware reflexive retweeting. Some of this is on you.

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.
