Remember the “where can we travel to get vaccines?” panic earlier this year and we made noise and it was all fine?

1. That’s probably because they were too chaotic to figure out how to do this very bad thing.

2. You both need to make all the noise in the world -and- start figuring out your plan B
If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

My book, BE YOURSELF AND OTHER BAD ADVICE, is coming soon.

I wrote this book to help girls get to know themselves through stories, prompts, and thought starters, and to use that self-knowledge to build a life that feels like their own.

Available for preorder wherever books are sold.

In honor of Eric Adams dropping out, I'm now resharing my all-time favorite bit of Eric Adams content

for years, this thing was like my video from The Ring, where I had to get other people to watch it in order for me to stay alive

Connoisseurship really does need to make a comeback for many of the reasons Fran Lebowitz discusses here. It's not just a thing for the wealthy but an appreciation of human creativity, production and labor, whether it's clothing, cooking, arts, etc. We are not machines.

Beautiful 1860s Victorian butterfly, which was used to store small packets of sewing needles on the underside of the wings. This was a collaboration between a London-based drapers company and a sewing needle manufacturer. On exhibit at Tatter Blue, a Brooklyn textile museum.

Some of the crimes I've seen in Washington DC:

— Beige sweater with beige chinos
— Jacket sleeve tag left on
— Tan shoes with navy suits
— Giant Windsor knots (triple felony with the metal sports watch paired with dark suit and French cuffs)

A couple of key questions to ask when planning a vacation to another county in 2025:

1) Does this country have concentration camps?

2) Are the concentration camps museums or are there people in the camps who were rounded up and put in the camps by masked men with guns?

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
