Yesterday on local news I heard that Lurie Children’s Hospital was pausing gender care surgeries for those under 19 because they are afraid of losing government funding. Heartbreaking. I love Chicago. I believe in Chicago. But even in this deep blue city we’re being forced to hurt trans kids. :(

I finished my application to grad school and I am waiting to find out exactly where my wife’s new job is in a different state, and I (maybe unsurprisingly) cannot concentrate.

I went to Olive Garden with some classmates. I got a margarita and I had a shot of patron with my conference roommates. So got a lil buzzed. The waiter started putting cheese on my food and I zoned out until the whole table was staring at me. Anyway y’all are very pretty ily.

The Palestinian-US boy killed in Chicago by his Islamophobic, racist landlord was named Wadea al-Fayoume. He and his mother were stabbed over 3 dozen times. This, in a country where pro-Palestine protesters are arrested, supporting Palestine is treated as criminal, & Islamophobia is mainstream.
