Yesterday on local news I heard that Lurie Children’s Hospital was pausing gender care surgeries for those under 19 because they are afraid of losing government funding. Heartbreaking. I love Chicago. I believe in Chicago. But even in this deep blue city we’re being forced to hurt trans kids. :(

Kmart existed in my hometown until like 2016-2017. Now it’s a uhaul store. The town I’m in currently has a Big Lots, which I genuinely had no idea was still around.

Hard agree. I looooved them but after like 2019 I knew what the author was like and cut ties with the series. I would also worry if their favorite book was the Bible. If they said Colleen Hoover I’d be like hmm maybe not compatible.

If people get killed I think someone getting mad, saying mean stuff not thinking, and walking away then trying to go back and then getting captured and replaying everything for the next 10 years is different than abuse. I do think she hurt Powder, and I’m not saying it was good.

That’s very fair. I just think abuse has to have intent and/or be wildly overblown to the offense. *trigger warning* I got thrown against a wall and had my head hit against it because I forgot to put clothes in the dryer. I accidentally knocked over a fan and my stepmom destroyed my room in revenge.

Do I agree with what Vi did? No. But I’m not gonna call it abuse. Vi was also a kid, and Powder just killed all of her other friends (accidentally but still). Sometimes people get mad and say stuff, it’s not always abuse.

Who are you saying abused her? Just want to be clear. I definitely relate to parts of her character too.
