A wonderful interview with my wonderful friend Thomas!!! I still have two gift subscriptions left to give if anyone wants to learn several fun facts about Thomas and find out ideal location in which set your short fiction (it's a mini golf course). The ol' writing group even gets a mention. 😍
love how this interview turned out. doing these behind-the-scenes Q&As about how a story came to be has become one of my fave aspects of doing Short Story, Long.

Yes! Stop using Chat GPT to proof your work. Grammarly is of course not perfect but works very well for this purpose!!
Is this not what like, grammarly is for? I feel like there are programs that exist that are more efficient and better at detecting grammatical and spelling errors, and won't lie to you about who the fucking president is.

Are we all aware that Huma Abedin and Alex Soros had Boyz II Men perform at their wedding, which is the most romantic thing I can personally imagine???

The most unrealistic part of The Parent Trap isn't any of the obvious stuff, it's that the father and his fiance are planning to have a huge formal wedding in two weeks time and don't have even the most basic details such as the dress and the guest list nailed down

Very concerned we're going to lose the CPSC social media manager when they only just started posting about Passions. We must protect them at all costs.
Q: The administration appears to have started dismantling the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Does the administration not believe that it's important?

LEAVITT: It's a federal agency within the executive branch. Who's the head of the executive branch? POTUS. He has the right to fire people

Your loss, tbh
DISCLOUSURE: We have only ever seen that one moment of that one episode completely out of context and never watched any of the show or other moments of the episode so we can't be held accountable for anything. Those are the rules.

One of the only strong opinions I have is that more people should be posting about Passions
It's 4:54PM EST on Friday. In 2001, a soap opera titled 'Passions' made one of the all-time best mentions of CPSC in the history of the television medium. We do not have a clip we can share, but it was Episode 537 which aired August 8, 2001 and if you can find the moment, it will spark joy.

Congratulations!!!
Very excited to share this news. My second book (and first novel) is headed your way next summer!

I know every writer says this, but: I can’t even describe how long I’ve wanted to publish books, and getting to do it in this part of my life is like a dream.
