From King Charles Christmas message:

"As I meet people of different faiths I find it enrmously encouraging to hear about how much we have in common"

"A shared longing for peace"

"And a deep respect for all life"

Well said 👏

Searched back through Blue Sky for this.
Which is one of the best things I saw all year in any medium.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have witnessed, the craft here is impeccable.

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

And so it begins...
Maybe/hopefully.
Malaysia plans to bar children under the age of 16 from social media starting next year, with a close eye to how Australia implements and enforces a similar ban that takes effect next month. Here's what to know.

The announcement on Sunday, which was light on details, came weeks before a similar action takes effect in Australia.

A mother and her 15 year old autistic son are reunited after nearly 50 days apart.

Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.

ICE sent him to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and his mom has been fighting to get him back ever since.

The media needs to stop calling it a peace plan. It's a Republican surrender plan for Europe. Why? Because Republicans have embraced fascist plutocracy and Europe isn't.

Trump’s signals to Zelensky and Europe: Accept this plan or you’re on your own | CNN
The 28-point plan hammered out by US and Russian envoys and put to Ukraine this week came with a deadline and an implicit threat: Sign up or face the risk of being abandoned.

Why would someone pay $20k for a robot controlled by a human in a remote location to do things more slowly and clumsily when the median wage for a maid or housekeeper is $33k per year, which is typically spread across 10-20 households?

Hideous.
A mainstream “journalist” calling for a British MP to be deported. Is it because I’m Muslim? Next time, just say it with your chest.

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

Right-wing media fluffs Farage for years, to the point where he now leads the polls, and then start whining about Starmer being 'obsessed' when he starts telling some long overdue home truths. It's actually hilarious.

Lovely bit of commentary there: “O’Donnell brought up on a dairy farm. Used to tackling young calves.” Is that a thing? Seems unlikely. (To be clear, the commentary so far has been absolutely brilliant - as have England!)

"Trump & other demagogues...throw something patently ridiculous into the conversation - “London is going Sharia” - and count on two things:
-Their supporters to believe it
-Everyone else to roll their eyes & mutter “oh for fuck’s sake” before scrolling on."

Why we shouldn't do the second for them ⬇️
Yesterday Trump told the UN that London wants to “go to Sharia Law.”

I’ve lived here for a decade and I’m pretty sure I would have noticed if Tower Hamlets had turned into a caliphate.

FAQ below on why this rant is weapons-grade nonsense - and why debunking it matters.

The Covid Contracts: Follow the Money, which aired last night on ITV, is a shocking and important film.

It exposes the extent of the corruption and profiteering during the pandemic and shows how the rich and powerful saw the crisis as an opportunity to profit and took it.

It was good to see the ITV documentary The Covid Contracts :Follow the Money last night. It's amazing how the likes of the Right Wing press, the Tories, Reform, etc, failed to criticise those who carried out this fraud and failed to report the cost borne by us taxpayers. Any conflict of interest
