Makes sense. Not a very well done show—often genuinely painful to watch because of the pacing and acting—and the books get so much worse after 6 that the source material isn’t really worth it.

the problem is the Democratic Party itself. I earnestly do not believe that supporting the Democratic Party serves any function other than kicking the can down the road on alternative as conditions worsen, and the social stakes of inaction are pushed ever further upward. A different party is needed
One reason I don't think it's useful to argue about the correct tactics for Democrats to win elections is winning elections isn't enough. They've won the presidency 5 out of 9 times since 1992 and where are we now. The question is how we create something better than a dead cat bounce party
