Community: You got that new rail corridor rendering for us?

Metrolinx: Sure do boss, real bleak and strangely melancholy just like you asked

Community: what
Metrolinx was looking at a new track east of Union Station (north side of the corridor) to Corktown Common. Apparently there was community uproar. Seeing this rendering, I don't blame them. If you're changing the space, you can't make it a cold utilitarian lane like this. Placemaking must happen.

We will get through this crisis together, because in Kitchener-Waterloo — and right across the country — we are #CanadaStrong.

"There was indeed something good about this country, something worth preserving and protecting while remaining critical and, where necessary, even ashamed...I believe there are good things about Canada and things that could be made to be much better. That’s worth fighting for."
Confessions of a Reluctant Nationalist
I'd throw a punch to fight for Canada's sovereignty while reserving and exercising my right to criticize this country. That's a fine form of patriotism.

As a proud Canadian-owned & operated company 🇨🇦 we want to do our part to support Canadians. As a family we have decided to absorb all immediate increases in our costs due to the Trump-tariffs for the rest of the year to maintain our prices. We will continue to reinforce our Canadian-first policies.

Incredible work from @thewalrus.ca on the tireless work Freeland has given to Canada. Things will surely be different without her in the fold.
With Chrystia Freeland out and Justin Trudeau’s popularity at rock bottom, the Liberal party’s future is on the line.

Catherine Tsalikis analyzes Freeland’s impact and what her departure may signal about what’s to come:
